When you have a road that crosses one of the highest mountain ranges in the world, climbing to 3,200m over 200 miles, and it has so many hairpin bends that each is lovingly numbered, you’ve got something a little special.
This stretch of asphalt cut through spectacular scenery, including immense valleys, white water rivers and sheer stone cliff faces. The first thing we did when we arrived in Mendoza was to unpack the bike, turn around and do it all over again.
